Who is Marco Ancora?
I am Strategic Partnerships Lead at QoQa and have worked in marketing & sales in the Swiss B2B market for more than ten years. I started as a plasterer (Swiss VET) in the family business. Later I managed key accounts and a sales team in the building materials industry, and from 2025 to 2026 I led the Swiss Marketing Association as Managing Director.
What does Marco Ancora do today?
Since May 2026, as Strategic Partnerships Lead at QoQa, I have been developing new business areas and strategic partnerships for all of Switzerland, with a focus on German-speaking Switzerland. This covers go-to-market approaches, value propositions and commercial models, as well as the partnership process from acquisition to performance analysis.
What did Marco Ancora do at the Swiss Marketing Association?
From February 2025 to March 2026 I was Managing Director of the Swiss Marketing Association, the national professional association for marketing and sales with more than 10,000 professionals and managers. I repositioned the association and carried out a rebranding, transformed its services and organisation, and modernised CRM and data structure. From December 2025 to March 2026 I also led suxxess.org AG, which organises the federally recognised professional and advanced professional examinations in marketing and sales. Before that I was a member of the association’s Central Board and of the board of Swiss Marketing, Club Zürich.
What does Marco Ancora specialise in?
I bring together brand management, go-to-market and business development. My core skills are brand management and positioning, go-to-market and market development, business development, B2B sales and key account management, pricing and value proposition, market and competitor analysis, sales enablement, and CRM and data-driven management.
What is Marco Ancora’s education?
At HWZ University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration Zurich I completed the CAS Brand Leadership, the CAS Sales Management and the CAS Customer Relationship Management. I am currently completing the MAS Sales Excellence. Before that I qualified, among other things, as Marketing Manager HF and as Marketing Specialist with Federal Diploma of Higher Education. My first training was an apprenticeship as a plasterer (Swiss VET).
Which boards and juries is Marco Ancora involved in?
Since 2023 I have held six roles on boards, committees and juries in marketing. Since 2025 I have been a jury member of the BoB – Best of B2B Communication Award of the Bundesverband Marketing Clubs. Other roles included the board of the European Marketing Confederation (EMC), the CMO of the Year jury and the Central Board of the Swiss Marketing Association.
What are Ancora Marketing and Ancora Football?
They are my two own brands, alongside my employment. Ancora Marketing connects people, mandates and opportunities in Swiss marketing & sales. The website also lists my ambassador roles and publications. Ancora Football shows football shirts from my collection, with provenance stated openly.
Which languages does Marco Ancora speak?
German and Italian are my native languages. I speak English with very good professional proficiency and French at a basic level, improving.
